NACFC 2018 | Plenary 1: Improving Outcomes of Infections in the Age of CFTR Modulators

Published on oktober 24, 2018 by

CFTR modulators are transforming the lives of people with cystic fibrosis — but there are still many challenges ahead. Not everyone will respond to modulators, and some infections may be difficult to eradicate. For these reasons and more, treating and preventing CF complications remains a major priority for the CF Foundation.

In plenary one of the 32nd annual NACFC, Dr. Lisa Saiman addresses the challenges of infections in people with CF. She provides an overview of CF infections, describes ongoing studies to increase understanding of CF microorganisms, and discuss current strategies to develop new anti-infective agents.
