In this video, Scott Donaldson, M.D., an associate professor of medicine and the director of the University of North Carolina adult CF center, provides an update on new developments in mucociliary clearance. These clinical trials are designed to thin or alter the thick, sticky mucus in the lungs of people with cystic fibrosis so that it can be coughed out more easily.
